Terms of Use
Last updated: August 5, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Nexion ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.
2. License
Nexion is proprietary software. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Software on macOS devices you own or control. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or create derivative works of the Software.
3. Description of Service
Nexion is a developer workspace that integrates a terminal emulator, web browser, file manager, and Git tools into a single native macOS application. It is a productivity tool: not a managed service, hosting platform, or data processor.
4. Beta Software
Nexion is in public beta. It is offered free of charge, it is unfinished, and it is not intended to be relied upon for anything you cannot afford to lose.
In particular:
- The beta may end at any time, with or without notice, and may be replaced by a paid or differently licensed version.
- An individual build can be retired. Each running copy checks periodically whether its build is still supported, and a build with a known critical issue can be refused and pointed at a fixed release. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what that check sends.
- Beta builds expire on their own. Features may change or be removed between builds, and data written by one build is not guaranteed to be readable by the next.
The disclaimer of warranties and the limitation of liability below apply in full to the beta, and are the reason it can be given away.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs or defects
- The Software will meet your specific requirements or expectations
- Any data processed, displayed, or managed through the Software will be accurate, complete, or preserved
- The Software will be compatible with all system configurations, third-party tools, or future macOS versions
- Terminal commands, Git operations, file operations, or any other actions performed through the Software will execute without errors or unintended side effects
6. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL NEXION, ITS AUTHOR, CONTRIBUTORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Loss of data, code, files, or work product
- Corruption or unintended modification of files, repositories, or configurations
- Unintended Git operations (commits, pushes, branch deletions, force pushes, or any repository modifications)
- Terminal commands executed with unintended consequences
- Loss of revenue, profits, or business opportunities
- Business interruption or downtime
- Damage caused by third-party plugins, userscripts, or AI-generated content
- Security vulnerabilities or data exposure resulting from the use of the Software
- Any actions taken by AI features, AI coding agents, or automated tools running within the Software
This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise), even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
7. Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
- Maintaining backups of your code, data, and files
- Reviewing and verifying all Git operations before executing them
- Reviewing terminal commands before execution, including those suggested by AI features
- Evaluating the output of AI-powered features (commit messages, PR descriptions, code explanations, etc.) before relying on them
- Reviewing the source code and permissions of any third-party plugin or userscript before installing it
- Ensuring compliance with your organization's security policies when using the Software
- Any consequences resulting from actions performed through the Software
8. Third-Party Services
Nexion integrates with third-party services and tools that are governed by their own terms:
- AI Features: Powered by whichever provider you configure in Nexion, currently including Anthropic, OpenAI, Codex / ChatGPT, Gemini, and GitHub Models. Use of those features is subject to the applicable provider terms.
- AI Coding Agents: Tools like Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, Aider, and GitHub Copilot run independently and are subject to their own terms and licenses.
- Web Content: Websites accessed through the built-in browser are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
- Plugins & Userscripts: Third-party extensions are not reviewed, endorsed, or guaranteed by us.
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or behavior of any third-party service or content.
9. AI-Generated Content
AI features in Nexion generate content (commit messages, code explanations, PR descriptions, command suggestions, summaries) that may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. AI-generated content is provided as a convenience and should always be reviewed by you before use. We make no representations about the accuracy, reliability, or suitability of AI-generated content.
10. Open Source Components
Nexion incorporates open source software components, each governed by their respective licenses. A list of these components and their licenses is available on the Acknowledgements page. The open source licenses apply to their respective components and are not modified by these Terms.
11. Updates and Changes
We may update the Software or these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We are under no obligation to provide updates, patches, or support for the Software.
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your license to use the Software at any time, for any reason, without notice. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and delete all copies.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the Software shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Italy.
