Nexion is built on the shoulders of great open source projects and technologies.

Open Source Libraries

GhosttyKit

MIT

GPU-accelerated terminal emulator library written in Zig with Metal rendering. Powers the entire Nexion terminal.

© Mitchell Hashimoto, Ghostty contributors

Monaco Editor

MIT

The code editor that powers VS Code. Used for syntax-highlighted code preview with 34 language support.

© Microsoft Corporation

JetBrains Mono

SIL Open Font License 1.1

Open source typeface designed for developers. Used as the default monospace font across terminal, editor, and code views.

© The JetBrains Mono Project Authors

Geist Mono

SIL Open Font License 1.1

Modern monospace typeface by Vercel. Bundled as an optional terminal and editor font.

iTerm2 Color Schemes

MIT

Collection of 450+ terminal color schemes. All bundled themes for terminal and code preview are sourced from this project.

Monaco Themes

MIT

Collection of 50+ syntax highlighting themes for the Monaco editor. Used for code preview and built-in editor theme presets.

© Brijesh Bittu

ripgrep

MIT

Fast line-oriented search tool. Bundled for .gitignore-aware file enumeration in Quick Open (Cmd+P).

© Andrew Gallant

Excalidraw

MIT

Hand-drawn whiteboard for diagrams and sketches. Powers the Canvas tab inside every Nexion project.

© Excalidraw

idb

MIT

iOS Simulator automation bridge (idb companion). Downloaded on demand so agents and the Nexion CLI can tap, swipe and type in the simulator.

© Meta Platforms, Inc. and affiliates

React

MIT

JavaScript library bundled alongside Excalidraw as a runtime dependency of the Canvas tab.

Sparkle

MIT

Auto-update framework for macOS apps. Drives Nexion's silent update checks (boot, every 4 hours, wake-from-sleep) and the standard Install dialog. EdDSA-signed releases for tamper-proof installs.

Sentry Cocoa SDK

MIT

Crash reporting SDK. Captures stack traces from unhandled exceptions, app hangs, and watchdog terminations. Routed through Nexion's own sanitizer pipeline (no PII, no network breadcrumbs, opt-out toggle) so only the bytes you explicitly approved ever leave the device.

TelemetryDeck Swift SDK

MIT

Privacy-first product analytics SDK. EU-hosted, anonymous (install UUID is SHA-256 hashed on-device before transmission), GDPR-compliant with no cookie banner needed. Drives the engagement panels (DAU, feature usage) so Nexion can be improved based on aggregate counters, never per-user data.

Swift Argument Parser

Apache-2.0

Apple's command-line argument parser. Drives the flag and subcommand syntax of the bundled `nexion` CLI (multi-window targeting, IPC event subscription, tab and pane control).
